For the past six years, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network has worked tirelessly to increase public awareness about bladder cancer; advance bladder cancer research; and provide educational and support services for the bladder cancer community. Many of you have been with us for the entire journey; others have joined us somewhere along the way. But no matter when you became involved with BCAN, your presence has served as a cornerstone on which we have been able to build.

Like any good cornerstone, we have relied on you for strength…for balance…and for stability. Without you to lean on, BCAN would certainly be challenged to stand on our own.

So, as we once again approach the holiday season and year’s end, we would like to extend a very special invitation to you to join a very special circle of BCAN’s friends – our new 2012 BCAN Cornerstone Society. Your contribution at a specific level will enable BCAN to continue to offer patient education and support programs both in-person and online; develop new advocacy and awareness campaigns to help those in need of information on bladder cancer; and support innovative projects that will ignite the spark toward new research efforts for early detection, new treatment options and, eventually, a cure.

As part of the 2012 BCAN Cornerstone Society, we will provide you with a unique bi-annual newsletter bringing you up-to-date information on current bladder cancer research, potential new programs & projects, and an insightful & thought provoking column on the “state of the bladder cancer community” by BCAN’s President and co- Founder, Diane Quale.

In addition, you will also become a member of a very select group of people: the kind of people who face a “challenge” head on… the kind of people who don’t know the word “quit”…the kind of people who pass on the gift of “hope” to others.  If you have already donated, thank you so much for your support.
