Jared Sher

Jared Sher, an associate in Skadden Arps’ Communications Group, represents companies in a variety of regulatory, transactional and legislative matters. Mr. Sher has  served as regulatory counsel to several major broadcast networks in connection with the Federal Communications Commission’s media ownership review proceedings. He also has served as corporate and regulatory counsel in many transactions involving regulated communications companies, including in transactions implicating the FCC’s multiple ownership and foreign ownership rules. Mr. Sher has counseled clients on structuring transactions and has drafted and negotiated purchase and sale agreements, particularly with respect to mergers and acquisitions involving broadcast licenses.

Mr. Sher graduated from The George Washington University Law School with honors and joined Skadden in 2000. During law school, Mr. Sher was a member of The George Washington University Law Review and worked as a summer associate at Skadden and as a law clerk in the Office of General Counsel at The George Washington University. Mr.Sher also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Hatchet Publications, Inc., a Washington, D.C. not-for-profit educational publishing company.
