The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) is proud to announce that we have been designated a Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) Charity Partner! BCAN has been allocated 25 guaranteed entries for the 38th Annual Marine Corps Marathon to be held on October 27, 2013; an event that sold out in 2 hours and 41 minutes in 2012.
  • We are looking at building “Team BCAN” to not only run in the event and raise awareness for bladder cancer but to raise needed funds for fostering research and patient education. According to the Marine Corps Marathon, there is not a required qualifying time to participate in the event, but all runners should maintain at least a 14 minute mile pace. In order to become a member of “Team BCAN” and officially have a slot in this year’s race, you must be registered through BCAN.

    Deborah A. Bradley, M.D.

    Dr. Deborah Bradley is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke University.  She joined the faculty in 2009.   Dr. Bradley is a graduate of the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine.  She completed her internal medicine training at the University of Cincinnati and her medical oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan.  She was on faculty for one year at University of Michigan before moving to Duke.  Dr. Bradley’s clinical interest is treatment of prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers.  Her current research is focused on investigation of novel treatment strategies for advanced genitourinary malignancies.  During her fellowship Dr. Bradley was awarded the Mark S. Roth, Memorial Award given to the fellow with the most promise in academic medicine.   She was chosen as a Southwest Oncology Group Young Investigator and is the recipient of the 2008 Charles A. Coltman Jr. Fellowship recognizing her research efforts.
