In her role as Executive Director for BCAN, Monica is working to increase awareness and funding for bladder cancer which has been greatly overlooked. BCAN’s mission is also of great personal importance to Monica as bladder cancer has directly impacted her family. Monica has spent nearly 20 years working in the non-profit arena. She has 13 years experience as a development professional with healthcare organizations. She previously spent 7 years as the Director of Development for Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey, where she was responsible for the organization’s fundraising and community relations and six years at CancerCare of New Jersey as the Assistant Director of Development. Monica began her non-profit career provide direct patient service for various mental health organizations in New York and New Jersey. She graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
