Steven Wong, M.D.

Dr. Wong is an assistant professor of medicine in the division of hematology oncology at the UCLA Medical Center. He received his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency at UCLA. Dr. Wong also was a fellow in medical oncology at UCLA.
Dr. Wong has been involved in the important research study in breast cancer identifying the her2as an important molecule in the pathogenesis of some breast cancers. This ultimately led to a new treatment called Herceptin which has made a dramatic improvement in the as well as survival in those pts with her2 metastatic breast cancer.
