Sam Chang, M.D.

Dr. Chang received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in generaland residencies in general and urologic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City where he was named Chief Fellow.
In 2005, Dr. Chang was the first ever recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of the Society of Urologic Oncology, and in 2007 was named a Best Reviewer by The Journal of Urology. Dr. Chang is an investigator for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, and a member of the AUA Exam Committee, American Association for Cancer Research, the American Urological Association, the Society of Urologic Oncology, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists, Inc.
He is the Chairman of the AJCC GUTask Force responsible for prognostic assignments for all urologic cancers. He was the Vice Chairman of the American Urologic Association Guidelines Panel on Non that were recently published in 2007. He continues to serve on the Executive Board of the Society of Urologic Oncology.
