Important Dates:

Online Walk Pre-Registration Deadline – April 28, 2014

Walk Day Kit mailed to Organizers (approx.) – April 25, 2014

Donation and registration forms collected at the walk due to BCAN – Monday, May 12, 2014

Walk Day!  Saturday, May 3, 2014 (dates vary at different locations)

Donations to qualify for the fundraising incentive program, BCAN Blazers – Monday, June 2, 2014

Optional conference calls will give walk organizers an opportunity to share ideas, ask BCAN staff questions, and discuss challenges.

Team Captain Toolkit- This will be sent to all those starting a team and includes; the “How Tos”, Registration quick facts, tips for recruiting team members and FUNdraising ideas.

Walker Registration Form- Print these for day of registration and for those who would like to walk but do not have computer access.

Walker Donation Form- Print these for day of donations and for those who would like to walk and receive donations but do not have computer access.

Local Sponsor Brochure- This is a great piece to send to those businesses and community influentials that you think would like to make a greater impact in the community.

In Kind Donation Letter- Edit this as needed to ask businesses for their in kind support. This can be anything from having bagels donated for the walkers on the morning of or donating gift cards to use as prizes for your own Walk contests and incentives.

In Kind Donation Form- Edit this and send it or give it to the business donating or potentially making an in kind donation.

Press Release Template- Using the local press to raise awareness of bladder cancer and your walk is a great way to build community relationships and educate the public. Edit and use this to send to your local media contact and don’t forget to make a follow-up call!

Printable Posters- Spread the word about your walk by downloading and printing these posters! Brilliant Blue or easy on the ink, simply fill in your walk information and hang these around town.
