Focus on Bladder Cancer in CURE Magazine’s Spring 2012 Issue

There are two great stories about bladder cancer included in the Spring 2012 issue of CURE magazine!  Articles like these are a great resource in helping raise awareness of the importance of bladder cancer research and education.

One article talks about advances in bladder cancer research and getting involved in clinical trials.  As the article mentions, there have been no significant advances in bladder cancer treatment in several decades.  We’re hopeful that the research they highlight, including studies of which patients are likely to benefit from certain treatments, will move the field forward.  The article features quotes from a variety of doctors and patients, including several members of BCAN’s Scientific Advisory Board and BCAN’s 2010 Research Award Winner.  The second article talks about how to “Be Your Own Best Advocate When it Comes to Bladder Cancer.”
